Hello everyone! Guess what? I got a brand new blog! It’s at a new-ish address and everything. I decided it was time for something new. I also really wanted a more personal blog rather than a super business-y blog. I’ll try and include more bits and pieces from my personal life and include detailed cutesy things that I personally like rather than have a 1918 Vintage agenda behind everything. The name ghostly ferns comes from the beautiful Ghost Fern plant. I can’t tell you how excited I am about the new blog. I hope you subscribe to it via google reader or whatnot. It’ll be great. I promise to give you some great things to look at. See you at Ghostly Ferns!

5. Wayfarer Style Glasses. Just like mine! Only…these aren’t real. Now you can look just like Woody Allen too. These glasses are so fun. I always get compliments on mine. People often ask me if mine are real or not. I guess the faux glasses, like the ones in the giveaway, are popular!

6. Small Holey Cowl. I’ll let you pick from any of the 5 colors available for a more customized look. I first made this scarf for myself a year ago and loved it so much that I wanted to share it with my customers. It’s so so so warm and fairly light too!

7. Gerber Daisy Roller Perfume from Anthropologie. I’ve been using these roller perfumes for the past couple of years and absolutely love them. They’re perfect for every day use and are small enough to fit in your bag too.

8. The Royal Tenenbaums Screenplay. One of my favorite screenplays of all time (from my favorite movie of all time). I want to share with you my favorite dry humor and whimsical lines from all of the Tenenbaums!

Amazing Canadian violin-electro god, Owen Pallett (formerly Final Fantasy) brings a splendid collection of work in his new album, Heartland. put out by one of my favorites, Domino Records, this album brings it all! Slightly more electronic than past albums, but the usual classical violin cools down the electronic tones. A perfect mix of my two favorite genres, couldn’t be better Owen! Pitchfork recently rated Heartland in its “best new music” category. Congrats Mr. Pallett! Listen to one of my favorite tracks from the album below.

Above are the glasses I’m trying to choose out of. I need some serious help picking out a new pair. I can’t decide which ones I want! Some of them are similar, but they’re all different in little ways. Below are the two pairs that I currently have. I suppose I really only need ONE pair, but I like to mix it up with different styles. Please voice your opinion and let me know which pair above will go best on my face and be a nice contrast to the two pairs I already have.

These amazing graphic printed tights from Les Queues de Sardines. I especially like the nude/ clear colored tights because they make your legs look like they have cool tattoos! I highly recommend you go on the site and check out all of the prints, there are tons more.

The absolutely stunning food photography from Sprouted Kitchen. They give the most delicious recipes and present the food in the most unique way possible. They make food look absolutely gorgeous and beautiful, just as it is!

The iCooly from Pyramid Distribution, makes your iPhone look like a cute iMac! How fun and adorable! Unfortunately they’re sold out right now, hopefully more will be up soon!

Good Guide, my new favorite website. Rates the health, environmental and social impact of each individual product. They essentially tell you how eco and health friendly each company and product is. They even make a barcode-scanning (free) iPhone app to help you out when you’re shopping.

The amazing DIY projects from PS I Made This. Like this necklace made from hair rollers. She has such creative ideas that are usually super cheap. I highly recommend you check her out. Beautiful!

Bao. My new favorite food. They’re hot buns filled with Chinese goodness. Luckily, I have a restaurant called Wow Bao 2 blocks from my apartment. I get the vegetarian whole wheat edamame bao and the coconut custard bao. So delicious, healthy, and low calorie!

The What Type Are You? quiz from Pentagram. It’s a super unique take on the traditional quiz. Includes an adorable narrator and interactivity!

The current collection from La Casita de Wendy. Featuring some of the cutest and most adorablest prints I’ve seen in a while.

Air France. An amazing Swedish electronic duo, saw them a couple of weeks ago with Jens Lekman. Perhaps one of the best shows I’ve been to (top 5). Air France did a DJ set rather than the usual and played a lot of my favorite songs. They seemed like genuinely nice guys.

For those of you who are fans of The Sartorialist and lovers of cats, The Catorialist is perfect for you! Cat’s across “the world” are photographed with their raw style and whimsical fashion. This site is soooo ridiculous! Thanks for me, for you!

1. Feather Notebook from Hammerpress. I saw this notebook when I was back home in Kansas City over the holidays. Going into the Hammerpress store is one of my favorite things to do when I’m there. They always have something new and pretty! I love buying pretty notebooks, but then I never write in them just because I don’t want to mess up!

2. Teacup Print Wallet from Orla Kiely. Orla always brings the best patterns in the prettiest of colors. This teacup wallet is absolutely adorable. Luckily, it’s on sale! Lucky us!

3. Vintage Cork Desktop Organizer from one of my favorite Etsy shops, Lucky Little Dot. LLD carries the most adorable vintage home accessories. I’m a huge fan of thrifting around looking for the best home buys, but Lucky Little Dot takes the worries of scouring for the perfect piece away! Plus, cork is my favorite material!

4. Natural Toothpaste from Burt’s Bees. Finally! Toothpaste from Burt’s Bees. I’m such a huge Burt’s Bees fan. I try to buy their products as often as possible. They’re a relatively chemical-free brand that sells at a low price point for natural products. I’ll buy anything Burt’s Bees and I’m so so glad they came out with toothpaste! Sorry Tom’s of Maine!

5. Dopp Bag with Strap from Pendleton. I recently bought this bag (although mine is a slightly different color) from Penelope’s in Chicago. I can definitely say that this has been one of my favorite recent purchases. I use it to carry my makeup and a good portion of my toiletries. I removed the strap just because it kept getting in the way. I love love love the western feel. It’s larger than my last make-up bag which is great because it now holds my face lotion, brushes, etc too!

6. Red Pandas! The cutest and most cuddly of all animals. Definitely my favorite animal for sure. Each time I see them at the zoo, they make me so happy. I want to pet one so bad. Especially when they smile like that!

7. Story Hotel in Stockholm. Amazing hotel in my favorite city in my favorite country, Sweden! Click that link, their website is amazing. The rooms look absolutely fabulous and adorable. Someone go with me? I’d prefer it if you paid.

8. Produce Bags from Baggu. I own virtually every product from Baggu and am a huge fan of their mission. A lot of people are using “green” bags these days (i hope) but not many people have the system down when buying produce. If you think about it, it makes no sense to put 1-2 oranges in a plastic bag, grapes in another plastic bag and 2 carrots in another. Why not put all of your produce in one reusable bag? Smart Baggu! The bags fold down in size to fit into your pocket, how lovely!

9. Floral Flask from Wicked Pen. I’m not usually the flask carrying kind of lady, but these lovely flasks make me want to! I’m not even sure where I would take a flask, perhaps a movie? I don’t even know!
